Overview

LTSCT’s single- and multiport-capable USB Power Controller is designed to operate alongside an AC-DC converter, forming a complete and reliable USB charging module for modern systems. Built with adaptive current sensing and thermal throttling, it helps maintain safe port temperatures while supporting continuous USB charging under varying load conditions. The controller also enables dynamic fault detection, covering software-based issues, hardware faults, and both reversible and irreversible fault scenarios. 

The solution supports a wide range of charging protocols, ensuring consistent USB charging compatibility across devices. Integrated protection features include overvoltage and overcurrent protection, short-circuit safeguards, and moisture or saltwater detection for harsh environments. In multiport configurations, multiple power delivery controllers can interconnect to allow adaptive and programmable power sharing, making the USB charging module suitable for scalable, high-reliability applications.
