Overview

Rack servers are specialised computers designed to fit into server racks and are commonly used in data centres. They come in sizes such as 1U and 2U, with larger models supporting more memory, storage, and graphics options.

Equipped with high-performance processors and advanced networking capabilities, these servers are ideal for running large-scale applications and databases, offering reliability, scalability, and efficiency.

LTSCT solutions for server rack

Power management – Intermediate Bus Converter (IBC)

  • LTSCT is defining a standalone Converter for a 48 V to 12 V integrated power converter (IBC), utilising a three-level synchronous buck architecture.
  • A novel control scheme is designed to achieve high efficiency (> 96%), improved power density, and scalable solutions to address the increasing power demands within the range of 360 W to 720 W.

POL

  • LTSCT is defining a standalone Converter for a 48 V to 0.8 V Point of Load (PoL), utilising a two-level synchronous buck architecture.
  • A novel control scheme is designed to achieve high efficiency (> 96%), improved power density, and scalable solutions to address the increasing power demands within the range of 60 W – 150 W, improving system efficiency by 8-10%.

Hot swap controller

  • LTSCT is defining a 100 V-rated UL-certified Hot Swap Controller supporting variable Gate Charge IP and remote monitoring for live insertion of a card in the system.
  • Our Hot Swap Controller is supported with PMBus and advanced monitoring and protection, such as line transients, overcurrent, and reverse blocking.

Upcoming products

  • Our semiconductor portfolio will be extended for High Current Point of Load Power Modules and Bidirectional DC-DC controllers for Battery Backup Units with AFE.
  • Additional offerings include Isolated gate drivers and SiC Power Modules/IPM used in 400 V/800 V AC-DC and DC-DC applications.
